Director Case Study - Rob Cohen
Rob Cohen is an American film director, producer and screenwriter. He has directed high action films such as xXx and Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story. He is also the producer of The Fast And The Furious, which is now Universals biggest franchise of all time. Rob Cohen was born in New York in 1949 and attended Harvard University, graduating in 1971. In 1973, he became the Vice President of Fox movies, before becoming head of production at Motown records when he was only 24. He went on and helped produce some of the most iconic TV shows of the 1980's such as Miami Vice. He then went on to produce other films and eventually ended up producing The fast And The Furious in 2001 at the age of 52. Without Rob Cohen the film would't have been Universals biggest franchise of all time.
