For our third preliminary task i need to work in a group of three to produce a short clip. This continuity task has to involve a person opening a door, then crossing a room and sitting down, having a conversation with someone opposite. The task will demonstrate match on action- (Where the editor cuts from one shot to another with a view that matches the first shot), most likely when the character walks to the chair. It will also include a shot/reverse shot (Shows one face then another to show a conversation) which follows the 180-degree-rule (Happens during a conversation where the camera stays behind the person) when the conversation happens. We will first make a storyboard which will include the edit, timings, shot number, picture, sounds and camera shots. It will also have a side box for additional information.
